I think I started when I was 13, but I am not quite sure.

What’s your earliest menstruation memory?
I remember the day I got my first period, I know that I knew about periods then, at least some practical stuff, but I can’t remember when I first started to hear about menstruation.

What words would you use to describe your feelings around your period those first period years?
Embarrassment definitely. After that mostly inconvenient, connected to discomfort, sometimes was a relief others a disappointment.

Have they changed? How do you perceive your period now?
For a couple of years now I am trying to be more connected to my cycle, to regard myneeds and be conscious about my feelings in each phase and try to appreciate andaccept them.

How do you feel the days leading up to your period and during?
Before my period feel “tight” and I am usually quite irritable and also very hungry, I crave anything basically made of gluten! During my period it normally shifts to a sort of release but in a very tiring way, I start having more energy after the second/third day.

If you have kids, how do talk about periods or plan to talk about them with them?
I am very open about my period at home and my kids have always know and asked questions about it. When my older was about 10 or 11 I had different products andbooks around to look at and I prepared a box with some goodies for when that firstperiod arrived.

There was a waffle maker in there that they really love.

Paracetamol 500mg.
