Unsere oberste Priorität war es, einen Lieferanten mit einem Ethikkodex zu finden, den wir unterstützen konnten.

Unser Lieferant ist GOTS-zertifiziert. Zertifizierungen sind in der Regel komplex und vertraulich – man erhält sie nicht einfach so, sondern muss sie beantragen, einen bestimmten Prozess durchlaufen und letztendlich dafür bezahlen.

Die GOTS-Zertifizierung unseres Lieferanten garantiert uns die unabhängige Zertifizierung der gesamten Lieferkette. Eine Lieferantenzertifizierung bedeutet unter anderem einen geregelten Mindestlohn, Diskriminierungsfreiheit, ein sicheres und hygienisches Arbeitsumfeld, angemessene und geregelte Arbeitszeiten sowie das Recht auf Tarifverhandlungen.

Für einen Dänen mag das selbstverständlich klingen. Doch das ist nicht überall auf der Welt der Fall, insbesondere nicht in der Produktion.

From the start, our ambition was to have a certified production, product and/or company.

Our first ambition was to make the first GOTS-certified menstrual panty. However, menstrual panties cannot currently be GOTS certified, as the materials included are not accepted. The synthetic fibers can never be included in a product that is GOTS certified - and the briefs require this for their function, a bit like sportswear. It is complex to understand - even for us who dive deep into this.

So GOTS-certified menstrual panties are not an option right now - maybe in the long term as new materials are developed. The cotton we use is certified organic.

On the other hand, we have spent a large part of 2023 preparing ourselves to apply to become BCorp certified.
B-Corporation is a global organization that sets requirements not only for the product but 360 degrees around the company, from bank selection to supplier to product.
We hope to be able to send our application in Q1 of 2024.

Wir haben uns entschieden, vorrangig mit Textilien wie Bio-Baumwolle, Polyamid, Elastan und Polyester zu arbeiten.

Wir sind nicht gerade stolz auf synthetische Textilien – wir wissen, dass sie eine Belastung für die Umwelt darstellen. Die Herstellung von Funktionsunterwäsche ähnelt jedoch in vielerlei Hinsicht der Herstellung von Sportbekleidung.

Sie benötigen Stoffe, die Gerüche minimieren, schnell trocknen und Feuchtigkeit vom Körper ableiten. Synthetische Stoffe sind dafür perfekt geeignet. Und sie sind wirklich strapazierfähig!

Synthetische Materialien haben sowohl Vor- als auch Nachteile.

Eine Herausforderung: Bei jedem Waschen Ihrer synthetischen Kleidung werden kleine Plastikpartikel in das Abwasser freigesetzt.
Deshalb haben wir uns mit den netten Leuten von Guppy Friend zusammengetan, um ihren kleinen Wäschebeutel zu verkaufen, den man für seine Unterwäsche verwenden kann, damit beim Waschen keine Abfallstoffe ins Abwasser gelangen.

Ein Teil des Gewinns aus dem Verkauf der Guppy Friend Wäschesäcke fließt an die firmeneigene gemeinnützige Organisation STOP! Micro Waste, die unter anderem Schulkinder und andere Gruppen darin schult, Plastik zu vermeiden und lokale Initiativen zur Reduzierung, Beseitigung und zum Recycling von Einwegkunststoffen zu initiieren.

Wir wollen auf Recyclingmaterialien umsteigen, haben aber noch nicht die nötigen Kapazitäten. Es ist jedoch auch verfrüht anzunehmen, dass recyceltes Polyester die alleinige Lösung ist. Es wird oft aus Plastikflaschen hergestellt, was bedeutet, dass wir ein Material, aus dem eine neue Plastikflasche hätte hergestellt werden können, zu einem dünnen Polyesterfaden „abbauen“, der nach seiner Verwendung höchstwahrscheinlich nie recycelt wird.

Es ist wirklich nicht einfach – nicht einmal für uns. Aber wir nutzen unter anderem Sourcing House, um uns über Best Practices beraten zu lassen.

All menstruating women should be free to choose exactly the menstrual product that works for them, regardless of whether it is menstrual cups, pads or menstrual panties.

That is why we have chosen to offer sizes from XS-XXXL - because we mean it when we say ALL. Full stop (- but if we don't have your size, just write to us, we'd like to expand if the need is there - however, we don't want to produce sizes that don't sell, because it's not sustainable).

Our wonderful world consists of millions of colors, shades, shapes and sizes. In nature and between people, and we believe that we should be introduced to all of them.
