Bloody Clean works actively in the sink with:
- Surfactant plant-based ingredients
- Probiotics that help break down odor
- Gentle formulation without enzymes
The result is clean and fresh panties – without compromising their function.
A little more nerdy:
We are surrounded by both good and bad bacteria.
Pro-biotics means "for life" and are the opposite of antibiotics (which you know from medicine; they kill bacteria). But instead of killing the bacteria, we can work with pro-biotics that love dirt and grime, and that grow big quickly, thereby taking over the space from the bad bacteria.
That's called competitive inhibition.
We are surrounded by and filled with both good and bad bacteria. Bad bacteria, for example, cause unpleasant odors.
Pro-biotics means "for life" and is the opposite of antibiotics (which you know from medicine; they kill bacteria). The process is called competitive inhibition.
There are many different strains of beneficial bacteria. Byoms uses a bacillus strain, which is a robust beneficial bacteria that can survive in a dormant state in the "harsh" environment of detergents.

Bloody Clean is a special detergent developed especially for us and for the purpose of removing any bad odor from menstrual panties.
The smell can arise for several reasons:
- Poor hygiene - remember to change your panties frequently, just like your pad.
- Hormonal changes - this can lead to increased discharge during your menstruation, which can have a distinct odor.
- Menstrual blood itself - your menstrual blood consists not only of blood but also of uterine lining, among other things. When menstrual blood comes into contact with oxygen, it begins to break down, producing an odor.
- The smell occurs with a less thorough rinsing and washing routine."
Wash your menstrual panties in cold water after use - until the water runs clear.
Air-dry the panties inside out if you don't need to wash them.
When you're ready to wash, add Bloody Clean to the soap compartment. You'll need 2 tablespoons/20 ml for a full load. You can wash your other clothes together.
Bloody Clean is super concentrated, so avoid overdosing, as it may compromise the wash quality.
Wash at 40 degrees and hang to air dry.
The bottle, label, and cap are all made from 100% recycled plastic. Remember to recycle the bottle as plastic after use.
Bloody Clean is transported by car rather than by plane or ship to minimize CO2 emissions.

Detergent for period underwear - Bloody Clean (travel size)
The special detergent Bloody Clean is created especially for period underwear, which has been developed for you who want to take the best possible care of yours period underwear. A gentle detergent that is particularly suitable for washing off period underwear and other absorbent underwear, where proper care helps to preserve the function and comfort of the materials over time.
By using a detergent that has been developed for the purpose, you help keep the absorbent layers clean, so your period underwear can perform at their best – wash after wash.
How does it work?
Bloody Clean is a special detergent that uses probiotics to remove potential odors in menstrual panties. The good bacteria fight off the bad bacteria, which are the ones that create the smell in the clothing fibers. The detergent is effective, gentle and removes odors as easily as nothing.
The smell occurs when body fluids come into contact with the bacteria on the surface of the skin, it is not your menstrual blood itself that smells. You may also know it from your training clothes - the sweat settles in the fibers and then the clothes smell.
Bloody Clean has been developed in collaboration with Byoms.
Developed for washing off period underwear
period underwear consists of several technical layers, which require slightly different care than ordinary underwear. Bloody Clean has been developed with a focus on a gentle but effective wash that helps to remove blood, sweat and odor without putting unnecessary strain on the materials.
We recommend rinsing the menstrual panties in cold water after use and then washing them with Bloody Clean at the recommended temperature. Avoid fabric softener as it can affect the absorbent properties.
Bloody Clean can of course also be used for other underwear and textiles where you want a gentle wash.
