We deserve better
Why choose period underwear from Flow?
After two fertility treatments and two births, I no longer wanted to use menstrual products that had to be inserted into the body – I wanted to be able to bleed in peace.
That was the beginning of Flow – the first period panties on the Danish market.
Today, we make period panties with a focus on comfort, quality, and responsible production – created by people who themselves menstruate.
✔️ Soft, skin-friendly materials
✔️ Various absorption levels
✔️ Comfort like regular underwear
✔️ A more environmentally friendly alternative to disposable products
Our mission is to make menstruation more free, secure, and less bothersome – without compromising on style or function.
Sincerely, Cathrine

What we are most proud of
5 great reasons why you'll love us
HEART ALWAYS FIRST
We are also here to create changes beyond your daily life.
Our founder changed Danish legislation in 2021 by removing the age limit for frozen eggs.
In 2025, we created the Red Flag campaign, which ensured the Danish women's national handball team the right to wear dark shorts during the World Cup. And we will continue.
SECURITY AND SAFETY RIGHT AFTER
Despite the lack of legislation and safety requirements for menstrual products in the EU, we do not shy away from our responsibility. We do not use PFAS, nano-silver – no magic "stay fresh" treatments of the absorbent layers. We third-party test our underwear for chemicals and use innovation without compromising your safety to address odor issues.
PREMIUM PRODUCTION
We produce in Portugal, Denmark, Lithuania, and Turkey – and always with the best materials, such as organic cotton, organic merino wool, and ECONYL®.
Our partners are the best in their respective fields, and several of our factories are GOTS-certified, which imposes requirements on employee welfare.
BY PEOPLE WHO MENSTRUATE, FOR PEOPLE WHO MENSTRUATE
We create products that we ourselves need - and we test them thoroughly (yes, they are tested with real menstrual blood). In addition, we have a test panel consisting of hardcore and dedicated members from our community who take the task seriously.
MORE THAN MENSTRUATION
We know it. It's about much more than menstruation. It's about a changing body – throughout the entire cycle, month after month.
That's why we are redefining what 'period products' are beyond a practical solution. The best-rated absorbent underwear, yes, but also care that supports you and your body throughout the entire cycle.
That is Flow Cycle Routine.

Frequently asked questions
It can depend on the materials your underwear is made of.
Lyocell and organic cotton often feel stretchier than, for example, mesh. In this case, if you are between two sizes, we recommend choosing the smaller one.
It depends on the absorbency of the underwear, which is indicated by drops. We have period underwear for both moderate and heavy bleeding.
If you have very heavy bleeding, you can benefit from using your underwear with a menstrual cup or disc.
We also have absorbent underwear with low absorbency for everyday use.
👉 If you need more absorbency, you can choose period underwear instead.
At the bottom of the panties, a discreet fabric pad is sewn in.
Regardless of the style, the pad consists of a minimum of 3 absorbent layers – a top layer that directs the liquid down to the next layer, which is similar to a towel. At the bottom, you'll find a membrane that ensures the liquid does not pass through the panties.

Rinse - wash - wear - repeat
1. If you have stained your panties, rinse them in cold water until the water runs clear.
2. Protect your panties in a laundry bag and wash them with similar colours at 30-40 degrees.
Tip: You can benefit from washing them with our Allergy Certified special detergent Bloody Clean.
3. Dry them inside out on a clothesline - and you're good to go again.

If you only use absorbent panties for your period, we recommend 5-7 pairs.
If you're fully committed to absorbent panties and replacing all panty liners and pads, you'll need 10-12 pairs – depending on how easy it is for you to access a washing machine.
The more pairs of panties, the easier your everyday life.
That's why we also offer bundle discounts on multiple pairs.
"Lækage" er egentlig ikke et ord, vi synes er så lækkert i sammenhæng med kroppen.
Det lyder mere som en utæt motor.
Men du bløder ikke direkte igennem dine trusser. Hvis de har nået deres 'max' på kapaciteten, så bløder du ud til siderne.
Det kan du tro, de er!
Forbrugerrådet Tænk har sat et stort fokus på menstruationstrusser i 2022, og deres eksperter siger også god for metoden:
1) Skyld i koldt vand.
2) Vask ved 40 grader.
3) Lufttør på snor.

In addition to our teen underwear above, we also have styles that go down to size 2XS.
For example, our period shorts, which are good for nighttime, and a selection of our adult period bikinis are also available in 2XS.
Has your child just started menstruating?
Menstrual panties for teenagers with a normal waist provide a safe start to menstruation
Period Flow Teen Briefs are designed specifically for children and teenagers who have had their first period. They provide a safe and simple start without pads that crease or tampons that need to be inserted into the body.
They look and feel like regular panties – with a discreet absorbent layer that protects during menstruation, making them a popular choice for both teenagers and parents who want an easy and comfortable solution for their first period.
Menstrual panties that feel like regular underwear
The first menstrual period is big enough in itself.
That's why we've developed period panties that feel as normal as possible. The Period Flow Teen Brief is made from ultra-soft lyocell that's lightweight, breathable and comfortable against your skin all day long.
The fit is developed for young bodies with a regular waist and a comfortable elastic that stays in place – both at school, for sports and during leisure time.
An alternative to pads and tampons
Many young people choose menstrual panties as their first menstrual product.
You simply put them on like regular panties. The absorbent layer is sewn into the panties, so there is nothing to attach or insert into the body.
For many, it gives a greater sense of freedom and security – especially in the first years of menstruation.
Soft quality for everyday use
Period Flow Teen Brief is made of soft lyocell with a focus on comfort and freedom of movement.
The panties are produced in Portugal and are free of PFAS and biocides. They can be washed and used again and again, making them a practical alternative to disposable pads.
