Who is it named after?

Jenny Swimsuit is named after Jenny Kammersgaard — a Danish swimming pioneer who in the 1930s became the first woman to swim across the Kattegat and later set records in the English Channel. She paved the way for generations of female swimmers.

1. If you've bled in your period swimwear, rinse them in cold water until it runs clear.

2. Protect your swimwear in a laundry bag and wash with similar colours at 30-40 degrees Celsius.
Tip: You can also use our Allergy Certified special detergent, Bloody Clean.

3. Dry it inside out on a clothesline - and you're good to go again.

How does it work?

period swimwear is like flow period underwear sewn with a built-in bandage, consisting of a minimum of 3 technical layers, which directs liquid down into the bandage, absorbs the liquid and ensures that you do not bleed or drip through.

At the bottom of your period bikini or bathing suit, you will find our absorbent technology you know, but in quick-drying materials. Discreet - no one can see it.

The pressure of the water against the body helps

When you are in the water, the pressure from the water will also slow down the outflow of blood from your body - too period swimwear are you extra safe.

Blood in, water out

Your swimwear must fit - this keeps blood in and water out. If you bleed profusely, you can combine with a cup or disk - change and wash your bottom just like yours period underwear.

Jeg synes badedragten var smuk og i god kvalitet. Desværre var den alt for stor i barmen, og går jeg en størrelse ned vil den blive for lille i kroppen, så jeg måtte returnere og den bliver ikke min nye badedragt, men er helt sikkert lækker hvis man har en anden kropstype end mig!

Badedragten sidder super godt. God bevægelsesfrihed hvilket er dejligt, når den mest skal bruges til svømning med min datter. Men den dybe ryg gør at jeg også synes den ville være fin til ferien eller en lidt mere dressed-up tur på stranden.

Utrolig smuk badedragt - farven, snittet og kvaliteten er lige i øjet ❤️ jeg ville dog ønske, at den var lidt længere i torso-stykket. Derfor har jeg ombyttet til en størrelse større end normalt 🌞

If you are between two sizes, we would suggest the smaller one, as the fabric can give when it is wet.

How much blood can it absorb?

The suction power i period swimwear is mild to moderate.

If you bleed profusely, we would suggest that you combine with a cup or a disc.

Our swimwear is designed with a built-in absorbent layer that traps and encapsulates menstrual blood. This layer is combined with a waterproof but breathable membrane that prevents you from bleeding through while swimming or sunbathing.
