Flow period panties are sewn with a built-in pad, consisting of at least 3 technical layers, which draw fluid into the pad, absorb the fluid, and ensure that you do not bleed or drip through.
Absorbency corresponds approximately to:
Light flow: 2-5 mL
Moderate flow: 5-10 mL
Heavy flow: 10-15 mL

We deserve better
Why choose period underwear from Flow?
After two fertility treatments and two births, I no longer wanted to use menstrual products that had to go inside my body - I wanted to be able to bleed in peace.
That was the beginning of Flow - the first menstrual underwear on the Danish market.
Today, we make menstrual underwear with a focus on comfort, quality, and responsible production - created by people who themselves menstruate.
✔️ Soft, skin-friendly materials
✔️ Different absorption levels
✔️ Comfort like regular underwear
✔️ A more environmentally friendly alternative to disposable products
Our mission is to make menstruation more liberating, secure, and less cumbersome - without compromising on style or function.
Sincerely, Cathrine
What we are most proud of
5 great reasons why you'll love us
HEART ALWAYS FIRST
We are also here to create greater changes than just in your daily life.
Our founder changed Danish legislation in 2021 by having the age limit on frozen eggs removed.
In 2025, we created the Red Flag campaign, which secured the Danish women's national handball team the right to wear dark shorts during the World Cup. And we will continue.
SAFETY AND SECURITY IMMEDIATELY THEREAFTER
Despite the lack of legislation and safety requirements for menstrual products in the EU, we do not hesitate to take responsibility. We do not use PFAS, nanosilver – no magical "stay fresh" treatments of the absorbent layers. We third-party test our period underwear for chemicals and use innovation without compromising your safety to eliminate odours.
PREMIUM PRODUCTION
We produce in Portugal, Denmark, Lithuania, and Turkey – and always with the best materials such as organic cotton, organic merino wool, and ECONYL®.
Our partners are the best in their respective fields, and several of our factories are GOTS-certified, which sets requirements for employee welfare.
BY PEOPLE WHO MENSTRUATE, FOR PEOPLE WHO MENSTRUATE
We create products that we ourselves need – and test them thoroughly (so yes, they are tested with real menstrual blood). In addition, we have a test panel consisting of hardcore and dedicated members from our community who take the task seriously.
MORE THAN MENSTRUATION
We know it. It's about much more than menstruation. It's about a body in change – throughout the entire cycle, month after month.
That's why we're redefining what 'period products' are beyond a practical solution. The best-rated absorbent underwear, sure, but also care that supports you and your body throughout the entire cycle.
That's Flow Cycle Routine.

Most asked questions about period underwear
It may depend on the materials your panties are made of.
Mesh is very stretchy and if you are between two sizes, we would suggest sizing down.
Lyocell and organic cotton are slightly firmer materials, and here we would suggest that you take your normal size.
It depends on the absorbency of the panties, which is indicated by drops. We have menstrual panties for both moderate and heavy bleeding.
If you are bleeding very heavily, you can use your panties together with a menstrual cup or disc.
We also have absorbent panties with low absorbency for everyday use.
👉If you need more absorption, you can choose menstrual panties instead.
A discreet fabric band is sewn into the bottom of the panties.
Regardless of the style, the pad consists of a minimum of 3 absorbent layers - a top layer that conducts the liquid down into the next layer, which is similar to a towel. At the bottom you will find a membrane that ensures that the liquid does not pass through the panty.

If you go all-in on absorbent panties and replace all panty liners and pads, you will need 10-12 pairs - depending on how easy you have access to a washing machine.
But if you only use absorbent panties for your period, we suggest 5-7 pairs.
The more panties, the easier everyday life.
That's why we also offer bundle discounts on multiple pairs.
"Leak" isn't really a word we find so delicious in the context of the body.
It sounds more like a leaking engine.
But you don't bleed directly through your panties. If they have reached their 'max' capacity, you bleed out to the sides.
You can believe it, they are!
The Danish Consumer Council Think has put a big focus on menstrual panties in 2022, and their experts also say good things about the method:
1) Rinse in cold water.
2) Wash at 40 degrees.
3) Air dry on a line.
